Meet the Midwife behind "The Midwife Studio"
Hello, I’m Kayleigh, the face behind The Midwife Studio. I am an NMC-registered midwife working within the NHS, with a passion for providing compassionate, holistic and empowering care to women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
My journey to becoming a midwife began in 2017, when I started my midwifery degree. Having experienced pregnancy and birth myself, I was passionate about caring for and advocating for other women during what can be such a transformative time in their lives. My journey certainly wasn’t easy. Studying for a degree while raising two young children was challenging, but my determination to fulfil my dream of becoming a midwife kept me moving forwards. I qualified in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. As the pandemic placed unprecedented pressure on maternity services, third-year student midwives were invited to join the workforce early, in anticipation of significant staffing shortages. Qualifying during such an intense and uncertain time was challenging, but it taught me to think on my feet, work efficiently under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Those experiences have shaped me into the midwife I am today.
Throughout my career, I have gained experience across all areas of maternity care, including supporting and facilitating labour and birth, as well as providing antenatal and postnatal inpatient care. However, my real passion lies within community midwifery, which is where I have worked for the past three years. I love the opportunity community midwifery gives me to build meaningful, trusting relationships with women and their families throughout pregnancy. I believe that midwifery care should be holistic, supporting women not only physically, but emotionally too. For me, this means providing women with the knowledge and information they need to make informed choices about their care, helping them to recognise when they may need additional support or medical attention, and ensuring they feel confident in seeking help when necessary.
Most importantly, I want women to feel empowered, capable, heard, seen, cared for and respected.
Becoming a parent is a huge life transition, and I believe every woman deserves to feel supported and confident throughout that journey. I’m passionate about helping women to develop their knowledge and confidence, trust themselves and their bodies, and feel prepared for the arrival of their baby and the transition into parenthood.

Our journey with you in mind
After working alongside families in my NHS role, I wanted to create something a little different — something that could offer the time, space and personalised support that isn’t always possible within standard antenatal and postnatal care. I understand that NHS maternity services can be busy, and that time constraints can sometimes leave women with questions unanswered or feeling as though they haven’t had the opportunity to explore the things that matter most to them.
My vision for The Midwife Studio is to create a space where you have time to ask questions, where education is tailored to you and your individual needs, and where you can feel informed and confident rather than overwhelmed.
This is at the heart of The Midwife Studio — creating a space where women can feel informed, supported and empowered throughout their journey into motherhood.
And that is why I created The Midwife Studio.

Tailored support for every parent
What makes our antenatal classes special? Our classes are delivered on a private one-to-one basis in the comfort of your own home, or online via video call. This gives you the freedom to book a date, time, and location that suits you.
Perfect for busy expectant parents or those who prefer to avoid the environment of traditional group settings, we ensure your learning experience is personal and convenient.

Empowering your journey to parenthood
Our aim is for you to leave our classes feeling empowered, informed, and confident, ready for whatever your pregnancy journey may bring. We believe that with the right knowledge and support, you can approach birth and early parenthood with peace of mind.
"When you are pregnant everyone will have their own experiences and opinions to share with you, and it can be hard to know what information you can trust. As an NMC registered Midwife working within the NHS you can be confident that the education provided during your classes will always be based on the most up to date, evidence based, reliable information."
